You Will Never Be Happy…
Our society love to compare ourselves to others. We compare height, weight, money, looks, and yes – dick size. We have world records for oldest prostitute, most sex in 24 hrs, and strongest vagina. As if the woman who had sex with 919 men in 24 hrs was actually happy. As if any of this comparing will somehow make anyone happy. If you constantly compare yourself to other you will never be happy because someone will always be better suited in the comparison.
The only way to truly be happy and compare is to compare yourself to yourself. Compare yourself today to yourself a year ago. Hopefully you can be proud of your accomplishments. You might be 270 lbs today but were 280 lbs last year – rejoice in progress. You might have more cash in the bank, a promotion, bench press more, a growing family. Be happy for what accomplishments you made don’t worry about Johnathan at work who does the same job and makes more, or Janice and how her social life is so much better than a Friday night in. Don’t worry about the porn star who has what appears to be a massive dick (he might be 5’3″ tall and have a fairly average member anyway).
Comparisons on one trait between people rarely tell the who story any way. What did Johnathan have to give up to make more money? His health? His family? What does Janice give up to have a social life? Sleep? Health? Growing vapid personality traits? What does the porn star give up to show the world his member? Job prospects? Health? Gaining drug addiction? Stable relationships? The answers are that you never know what the person you compare yourself to gives up to have the boosted trait you compare against.
Perhaps empatheticly comparing yourself to someone with a disadvantageous trait compare to yourself can allow you to be happy for what you have. Comparing your weight to a bedridden morbidly obese person should give you the joy in having a body that is mobile and breathing ease. Imagine being 200 lbs heavier. Your limbs cannot clean your girth – you smell. That big penis you were worried about earlier well not seeing him anytime soon. Breathing is a labor. Your body is riddled with sores and rashes. Life is horrid yet somehow you live. Now think about your current life. Your life is good! Be happy for what you have, don’t compare yourself to others, be empathetic to others whom lack the advantages of the traits you posses.
What are you guilty of comparing to others?
